Who We Are
We are the Macanović family from Dugopolje, a village near Split, Croatia. Our father Mate Macanović grew up as one of eight siblings — a big family that taught us the values of togetherness, resilience, and care for each other.
Our Family
- Mate Macanović (b. 1956) and his wife Ana Macanović (b. 1959) are the proud parents of three children:
- Mladen – a software engineer from Split, creator of the open-source Blazorise component library, and founder of Megabit d.o.o.. Learn more on his personal site: mladenmacanovic.com
- Tihana (Jukić) – building a remarkable career in the beauty industry, she is a well-known name in makeup artistry and has established a successful salon in Split, where she works with clients, events, and fashion projects.
- Goran – dedicated to sustainable living and agriculture, he is a farmer who focuses on organic and bio-based growing methods, continuing the tradition of working the land while embracing modern eco-friendly practices.
What We Do
While our roots are firmly planted in Dugopolje, our family branches reach far and wide. Mladen’s work with Blazorise has grown into one of the most popular UI component libraries for building web apps with Blazor, helping developers all around the world.
Tihana has become a household name in Split’s beauty scene, with her salon serving as both a creative hub and a trusted destination for clients. Goran, on the other hand, has taken a path back to the land — practicing organic farming and bio growing, contributing to healthier living and local sustainability.
